The new study spaces in Pustervik now open

News: Apr 19, 2022

Updated 22-04-25

The university's new study spaces in Pustervik are now opening. From April 19, all GU students who need a study space, a group room or just want to take a look at the premises are welcome to Pusterviksgatan 3, three stairs up.

In the premises, which are located close to Järntorget, there are currently 130 spaces of different types, from single spaces to group rooms and lounges. There is also a kitchen with a dining area, refrigerator and microwave ovens to heat food.

To enter the premises, use your GU card and pin code in the door card reader at the street entrance and at the door on the 3rd floor.

There are nice views of the river, the canal and Rosenlund from many of the study spaces. Later this spring, desk screens will be installed between the single spaces.

The study spaces will be developed gradually depending on how they are used and what is requested. Some furnishings are not yet in place, such as desk screens and curtains.

Recycling has been an important part of the project and most of the furniture comes from other parts of the university. The desks are from Geovetarcentrum and Examination Service, and most of the chairs are from the university's main building, Vasaparken. The lamps and most whiteboards come from an adjacent high school.
