During October and November, all students must activate MFA for their Microsoft account - this date applies to you

It will now become mandatory to use multi-factor authentication, MFA, when you log in to the student email and the other services within Microsoft 365.

MFA means that login takes place in two steps to verify that it is the right person logging in, and thus protects your account from being hacked.

Deadline for activating MFA is according to the following schedule:

  • Faculty of Humanities, October 18
  • Faculty of Social Sciences, October 25
  • School of Business, Economics and Law, November 1
  • Faculty of Education, November 8
  • Faculty of Science, November 15
  • The Artistic Faculty and the IT Faculty, November 22
  • Sahlgrenska Academy, November 29

Please note that the schedule applies to all students registered at the faculty, regardless of whether you are only taking a single course or several. About a week and a half before the deadline, you will receive information through Canvas.

You do not have to wait until its time for your faculty to activate MFA. You can do it right away according to the instructions found here in the Student Portal:
